It comes at night, movie review (spoilers)

There are some movies that heavily rely on a big climax to make the whole thing work and ‘It comes at night’ is no exception. The movie is minimalist in it’s approach with only a few actors playing out a quasi post apocalyptic reality in one location. It’s set deep in the woods and there isn’t much information given about what has happened to the rest of the world or why they are in this situation. Black women and interracial relationships

Many black women are upset that black men who get into interracial relationships  vocalise the negative traits that they’ve attributed to black women and as a result justify their choice of non-black partner. Plenty of celebrity black men who the general populous hold so high in regard, have publicly spouted their disdain for black women saying such things as they’re; unattractive, poor, loud and aggressive. Each of the Krispy Kreme donughts has around 200 calories per unit, and I could eat five and feel great about myself for around 5 minutes after. Continue reading Muay Thai Journey

Selling out has now become the goal for musicians

Musicians have always tried to find the balance between creating their art and selling records, because the more that’s sold, the more ‘diluted’ the music can get. This is the same across all genre’s,  rap, rock, classical and pop. As music has changed over the years so has the levels of wealth attainability for the creators. Being rich and having a hit record back in the 50’s and 60’s meant that you could buy your high school sweetheart a new car and go on holiday to Miami twice and year. I heard about identity politics through the grapevine

Learning about the horrors of the very recent past has contributed to a radical left wing set of ideologies that have crept into our educational institutions and flooded our media outlets. There is a segment of the population who believe strongly in identity politics and their right to constantly voice their opinion. Should I feel proud about slavery?

Language is very important when considering the appropriate feeling about the history of black slavery from the perspective of a black person, because as a black man there is definitely strong feelings when the topic of slavery is brought up. For clear context in this particular article, when I refer to slavery, I am specifically talking about the transatlantic slave trade which started in the 16th Century.
