Twerking with Miley Cyrus

‘Twerking’

 Definition.

‘Twerking is a type of dancing in which an individual, usually a female, dances to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting stance.’

When I first saw Miley Cyrus dancing with Robin Thicke at the VMA’s I felt bad for her. It seemed like a desperate attempt to get herself noticed. However, the stunt worked, and the next day she was all over the news. She’s the hottest thing out there right now and her lack of twerking skills was the catalyst. It goes to show, that in this world we live in, any press is good press. People have called her a racist, a bad role model, and a sexual deviant. She’s 21 years old. She can’t twerk but she tried, and it did absolute wonders for her music career, so call her what you want because it keeps her on our screens.

Pitbulls are not that dangerous

The Truth about Pitbulls

It seems like every other week, we hear about how a dangerous dog has mauled a child, or even ended a child’s life. As a consequence of their actions, the dog has to be put down. Pitbulls are banned in the UK and dogs homes have to put down thousands of dogs every year purely based on their breed. Even pit bull puppies get put to sleep. I was looking at a list of places where certain breeds are banned and expectedly pitbulls always prop up. The UK, many US states, Australia, Brazil and Spain are just a few places where it is illegal to own a pit bull. Every now and then akita’s, malamutes and staffies pop up but it got me thinking, why are pitbulls so feared?Pitbull pup

Football abuse

There’s Football, and then there’s Football Fans

Football fans are the best in the world. They support their team with vicious dedication. The 12th man, as Alex Ferguson described them, is a big part of the game, and the fans have come up with some humorous anecdotes to try and get underneath the skin of the opposition. Every now and then, they take it a bit too far.

Fake football support

Dear Arsenal Football Club,

My name is Billy Costigan and I am a fake football supporter.

The fake football team I support is Arsenal, and I have also used Real Madrid and Aston Villa in th past too.

I have been fake supporting Arsenal for the past 10 years and this is my official resignation.

Now don’t get me wrong, I do love the way you play the game. I love the way you kick the ball, with such passion, such power, such promise and pizazz.

12 habits of Happy human beings

People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Abraham Lincoln

If you were sad your whole life, existence would be absolutely futile. Happiness is therefore an important measure of how successful we are.

But what makes human beings happy? And how is it achieved?

Cotton buds, the truth!

I don’t want to alarm you, but 7000 PEOPLE were hospitalised by cotton buds (Q-tips) last year and this epidemic could be coming to a town near you soon. There’s no need to over react but we all need to know how to stop one of these innocuous looking instruments from destroying our lives. More people spent time in hospital due to cotton bud injuries than razor blade injuries last year and this is adding to the already debt ridden NHS crisis.

Black Panthers don’t Exist

Rare and beautiful, the black panther is a favourite animal of many people. Surrounded by mystery, this elusive ghost of the forest has captured the fascination of humans for hundreds of years. However the history of black panther sightings is largely debated. There is a lot of confusion over the terms and conditions that describe these big cats so I will attempt to break it down.
