The third-largest cat in the world after the lion and the tiger, these beautiful animals have been known to ingest yage aka ayahuasca to enter a trance like state before hunting prey. These solitary water cats are competent climbers and are most commonly found in South and Central America.
Ayahuasca is an entheogenic brew made out of Banisteriopsis caapi vine and other ingredients. When they mix the ayahuasca with leaves of DMT containing plant species it induces psychoactive effects, but it has been reported that these psychoactive effects can come from consuming the ayahuasca leaves alone.
It seems like this traditional spiritual medicine has been picked up by the big cat who looks like he’s enjoying the hallucinogenic effects the plant. The Christians used to call it the work of the devil but this Jaguar truly believes this is the work of God. Why would such plants exist if not for us creatures of the Earth to enjoy. They are smarter than we think and more spiritually connected than we want to believe.
