You don’t have to be cruel to be kind
An act of kindness is a spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards someone or something. You probably wouldn’t realise, but we all perform many acts of kindness on a daily basis, whether it be smiling at someone or paying someone a compliment. Kindness is important because it broadens life’s frame of reference. I am unsure why there aren’t more genuine kind acts shown on TV and as consumers we are definitely more drawn to the negative aspects of human nature. It is humbling to witness kindness and empowering to actively be kind even when the opportunities in our daily routines are slim. Kindness doesn’t warrant a reaction and is one of the purist sentiments a human being can carry out. Being kind is strength and is important to acknowledge that it is a core response which comes from deep inside us.
