An Indonesian martial arts fest that is skull-splinteringly violent, uncompromisingly intense and simply brilliant. The fight scenes are visually sublime, and the actors fulfil their roles superbly. The leading man is Iko Uwais who tops the list of martial arts heroes and is directed by the Welsh film-maker Gareth Huw Evans, who keeps a 10-tonne weight positioned on the accelerator from start to finish. In Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee famously says: “We need emotional content, not anger.” But frankly there seems to be an awful lot of anger here and its brilliant. I can’t believe that the filming ended without some pretty serious hospitalisation for everyone concerned. There really aren’t many films that will have you holding clenched fists to the corners of your mouth for over an hour and a half. I was forever bleating the two clipped monosyllables of shock: “Ohhhsh … ” and “Ohhhhf …”. Totally Freaking Awesome!
Tupac Shakur, born June 1971. He was a well known rapper, who was infamously known for his trouble with the law and his prominent West Coast affiliation. Even though he was born in East Harlem, New York.
I always admired how Tupac came across in some of his interviews and some of his song lyrics are deep. Some people would describe him as a conscious rapper who speaks to black youth, a lyrical soldier afraid of no one. He’s also been labelled as the greatest rapper of all time. Many young black children today look up to Tupac as a visionary leader and there have been numerous documentaries supporting these claims as his fan love is constantly splattered all over the internet.
The reality is Tupac was a living contradiction.

Nearly everyone experiences some form of anxiety, and most of us go through it at least once a day. Anxiety is an unpleasant state of inner turmoil, and can result in nervous behaviour. It can lead to anxiety attacks & social anxiety but just because you experience this it doesn’t necessary mean you have an anxiety disorder. Considering the amount of pressure people of all ages are under, I think its normal to sometimes be anxious in this crazy world we live in.
I used to believe in the concept of money. I put my trust in the crisp pink fifties, coke laced twenties, and bacteria infested ten pound notes until I heard about fiat currency.
Definition of fiat currency;
‘Inconvertible paper money made legal by government decree’
An African life seems to have much less value than any other.
Popular press has portrayed the Rwandan Genocide as a tribal war between ethnic groups. Scholarly research has rejected this view, (Des Forges; 1999, Uvin; 1998, Prunier; 1995).
Krain (1997) found that ethnic fractionalisation is uncorrelated with the onset of genocide or political mass murder.
It is known now that there a few vital factors that heavily influence the chance of genocide in conflict ridden countries;
Rwanda Genocide Remembered: Small Arms Involvement
The 7th of April 2014 was the day when France refused to take part in the commemorations ceremony for the Rwandan Genocide. Rwanda was a former French colony. Back in the colonial days, the Germans, Belgians and French enslaved the Rwandan people and set up international corporations, milking the country of its raw materials and natural wealth, they also had a large part to play in the genocide that followed.
I saved my kittens and I don’t think they care
We named her KitKat.
Well, my mom named her KitKat and she was a well known cat in the area.
She was a very well known cat actually.
In fact she was such a popular cat she’s had her third litter of kittens in a year, and expecting another soon. She’s a sweet cat but tough like Phil from Eastenders. I’ve seen her scrap with other cats, defend her kittens against dogs and use her cunning cat behaviour to gather food by any means necessary. I had a barbecue at home last year and after an evening of fun, food and fireworks we settled down for an alcoholic beverage or twelve. Ok, so there were no fireworks, but during the evening I began to hear faint squeals coming from next door and decided to investigate then…
‘Twerking is a type of dancing in which an individual, usually a female, dances to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting stance.’
When I first saw Miley Cyrus dancing with Robin Thicke at the VMA’s I felt bad for her. It seemed like a desperate attempt to get herself noticed. However, the stunt worked, and the next day she was all over the news. She’s the hottest thing out there right now and her lack of twerking skills was the catalyst. It goes to show, that in this world we live in, any press is good press. People have called her a racist, a bad role model, and a sexual deviant. She’s 21 years old. She can’t twerk but she tried, and it did absolute wonders for her music career, so call her what you want because it keeps her on our screens.
