I started the day focused, listening to my Fight 1 playlist trying to get myself pumped up on the bus. The streets were empty, and again it really did feel like I was alone. I’ve felt like this whilst training sometimes too, the whole process of preparing for a fight is at times very isolating, but when I stepped in the ring I understood why. I’ve been given a date for my first Muay Thai interclub. I have 5/6 weeks and currently weigh 84kg which is way too heavy to fight. I’m not sure how much weight I can lose in the time but I will try for 3-5kg and take it from there. I’m not going to eat bread, 1 bar of dark chocolate a week, eat less meat, drink more water, take some bitters and try and run 3-4 days a week as well as x4 minimum Muay Thai training. Starting Muay Thai….
Haribos, Krispy Kremes and Bread. I had to start doing some exercise because of my proclivity towards sugar was getting my razor close to being fat. That pleasure you get from eating foods high in simple sugar is the same pleasure derived from taking an opioid, I’ve heard. The dopamine/serotonin receptors in the brain are stimulated and this is why you want to eat more and more. Each of the Krispy Kreme donughts has around 200 calories per unit, and I could eat five and feel great about myself for around 5 minutes after. Continue reading Muay Thai Journey

You can see as soon as the guard goes up and he is in the right position the attacker offloads a barrage of solid low kicks, continuously attacking the same spot. Every now and then the motion is broken up by attacking the face again, because automatically the hands go up again and then the thigh is right there for blasting.
