Charly palmer

A graphic designer, illustrator and teacher who devotes his life to his creative goals. Inspired by illustrations in Ezra Jack Keats’ The Snowy Day, from a young age Charly’s imagination was captured early on. He says himself he was chosen to do this, born to paint. Charly Palmer’s artwork is gorgeous, with specific attention taken to emit emotions through the eye’s of the painted faces. Abstract, geometrical and beautifully layered textures & patterns, Charly is able to blend the figures with the backgrounds whilst portraying feelings of hope, injustice and defiance. Battleship, Chloe Freedom& Hidden are my favourite pieces, stunning, powerful, raw and heartbreaking. An accomplished artist, who is known to the conglomerates of the world who collect his pieces privately and publicly. There are many different ways to induce emotions in people and as well as reading and watching videos, there is definitely a place in my psyche for artistic expression. I hope that Charly Palmer gets more recognition as we need powerful forms of expression in a time where the repetitive absorption of videos, social media and thought pieces start to numb the senses. Artists like Charly Palmer have unique ability to shatter the normative barriers we teach our minds to get used to when absorbing information, and offer a new pathway to feeling and understanding. Plus the, artwork is incredible!
